By Dennis E. Price

Women may get confused as to what products to use for curly hair due to the sheer volume of bottles on sale in each store. Sometimes there are offers available which may suit your hair type otherwise this may be a guessing game. Some people may take a long time trying out a number of different named brands and still not be able to make their mind up. Here are a few pieces of hair advice for you to think about.

The first thing you need to think about is washing and drying which includes conditioning and shampooing. Each time you wash your hair there is always a little residue left over that doesn't get rinsed out. By using a shampoo similar to a clarifying type shampoo which washes out all the previous shampoos and conditioners.

Conditioning your hair with a really good moisturising conditioner will help restore any damage which has already been done. Curly hair has a tendency to dry out quicker than straight hair. Pay attention to conditioning your hair all the time.

Do you dry your hair with a dryer or leave it to dry naturally. This is the big question everyone asks themselves and ponders about which is the correct format. Drying with a blow dryer can lead to lots of frizzes unless you attached a diffuser to the end of of your dryer. A diffuser is a tool which helps makes your hair into lots of natural curls which look amazing.

Be careful when it comes to cutting your curly hair as the hair may be too short once dried. A good tip would be to have layers cut into your hair but try and not cut your layers too long otherwise they will not sit correctly.

Styling you can often look for inspiration by flicking through magazines. Choosing a colour is a lot more trickier as there are lots of different factors involved. Less is more when highlighting curly hair.

Deciding on colours and hair cuts is tricky business which only your hairdresser can help make the final decision. Any questions ask them before you proceed.
