Hairdresser Mobile Or Not

By Dennis E. Price

Sometimes a hairdresser is required to work outside the saloon and on the go known in the trade as going mobile. Not everyone can make their way to the saloon for their weekly hair do so in this circumstances hairdressers will go to the them. A wedding or perhaps someone who is confined to an aged persons' establishment and can't make their own way to the hairdressers then the stylist will be most welcome to join them in their home.

Other services which are required by mobile stylists would include prisons and armed military personnel who are stationed in barracks and are restricted to the public appearances. There are plenty of times hairdressers are in demand which we often forget when we go about our daily business.

No matter which type of hairdresser you are or has visiting you in home they should always be qualified and be able to show certificates when asked. This works both for saloon and mobile as working with your hands is part and parcel of your job. As you will be asked to create all sorts of different styles.

On the go all the time requires the stylist to be organised with their equipment and remembering to bring with all their gadgets that are required for the days work ahead of them. Tools of the trade such as straighteners or curlers and hair dryer and also any colouring processes which is required.

When attending a persons home the mobile stylist should always look the part and have a nice clean uniform specifically designed for them which should always be neat and pressed and clean and be able to change the soon as any of the hairdressing products spill on them. Having clean hands and nails are vastly important as this is what you will be judged on by your clients. Alot of your time will be spent on the road visiting your customers so having your own car or van is essential in this business.
