Learn More About The Traditional Martial Arts Clothing

One of the most systematic, difficult and challenging arts to learn and pursue is martial arts. As it is both physically and mentally demanding, the people who pursue and learn it are seen with a lot of respect and recognition. When a person is spotted in a martial arts clothing he is automatically considered fitter than the rest of the crowd. People tend to take notice of it.

Judo, karate, kick boxing and mixed martial are the most popularly known and learnt martial arts in the world. Likewise there are many more that have been originated from different parts of the world as a system of combat. They are all contributions to the wide field of martial arts that exists.

This sport is not meant to hurt anyone, it was started as a systematic and sophisticated form of combat, then became a sport and now is also a very good exercise for the human body. Many people go through basic training of martial arts so that they can fight the social evils that are present in the society. The increasing crime rates have not left people with another choice anyway.

The one thing that grabs the attention of every onlooker and also distinguishes a martial arts personnel from an average person is the uniform. The people who have the privilege to wear the uniform take utmost pride in it as they would have definitely worked hard towards getting it. The uniform is nothing flamboyant- a simple white robe and a pair of trousers and a coloured belt at the waist to mark the level of excellence that the person can perform up to. It still stand out of the crowd as it commands respect.

The traditional Japanese costume for this sport was designed by the founder of the popular art Judo. His name is Kano Jigro. He named the costume Keikogi that means the attire for practice. It comprises of the robe that is called the Uwagi, and the pants that are called Shitabaki.

This costume was developed keeping in mind the climatic conditions of Japan. This design is manufactured in four different clothing materials. The first one is the single weave, this costume is made of lighter and thinner mater that is instrumental for use in summer. The double weave is the one that is a very thick material and is normally used during winters.

Then comes the gold weave that ranges somewhere in between the two mentioned above. Finally there is a platinum weave that is a material thicker than the single weave but thinner than the gold weave. They are all meant to be used in the different seasons that the country sees.

Now there are many available designs, colors and varieties in martial arts clothing available in the market. The traditional white ones have not lost its charm yes. It is also important that the costumes are maintained with care so that the honour is not reduced.
